I can’t begin to tell you how difficult it is to sit on these bridal shoots until my sweet brides get married.. but wait we must. ;) Megan was absolutely stunning on the day we shot her bridal session, and even more exquisite on her wedding day. Congratulations Mrs. Smith.. a few frames from our session together in downtown Raleigh.

I met Susan back in 2009 after a long and exhaustive search for a yoga studio in Cary. I needed something to balance all the work it took to run and after a long talk with a girlfriend, we knew yoga was it. I walked in to Susan’s Vinyasa Flow class on a cold November evening and the rest they say, is history. She trained me all the way through my pregnancy with Quin, and well after and since then, we’ve become dear friends.
There are big things happening for Susan. Big, big things. She has a gift for teaching that is unparalleled and a way to make each one of her students feel special. So for her to ask for a portrait session was beyond flattering. I couldn’t love this woman more and to get her in front of my lens for all of her big plans was an honor. Susan, thank you for the gift you’ve given me and for the gift you’ve given all of us when we’re on and off our mats. Enjoy a few frames from our session together.

I am overwhelmed with love and gratitude for the year you all have given me. Thank you for trust, honesty and beautiful lives to photograph. Cannot begin to tell you how much I am looking forward to 2012. Happy, Happy New Year.

Her favorite color is navy blue and Christmas is her favorite holiday. She loves Breakfast at Tiffany’s and SNL and could single-handedly keep Starbucks in business. Meet Sam. This girl is sweet, kind and smart. Oh so smart. I felt very lucky to have her in front of my lens last month. She’s set her sights high for next year after high school … head to a big school, major in chemistry, experience life on her own. And no doubt she’ll do just that and do it beautifully.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all! We’ll be back and rolling next week after the holiday.
